Proud Families: Puppy Day! (Doggy Day Do-Over)

We were so sad that Doggy Day got rained out this year - so let's have a do-over! Our Proud Families playgroup for ages 0-12 invites you and your furbabies to a very special Puppy Day on Saturday, July 18 from 10:00 a.m. to noon at OutFront Kalamazoo. We'll have dog-themed crafts, snacks, and yard games for all ages set up in the parking lot, along with any of the swag we didn't get to use at Doggie Day provided by our generous sponsors. This is a child-centered event, but anyone with a fur-baby is welcome to stop by and grab some swag! Parents/caregivers must remain on-site with their littles at all times.
OutFront Men's Community: Potluck & Cookout

Join us for Queer Yoga every first and third Sunday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at OutFront Kalamazoo! Immerse yourself in a space that is by Queer folks, for Queer folks. Your instructor will guide you through beginner-friendly yoga postures, breath work, and active rest. All skill levels are welcome! Please bring your own mat. This service is offered in partnership with Kalamazoo Backyard Yogis and is for ages 18 and up. This is a donation-based class, with all proceeds benefitting OutFront Kalamazoo. Registration is required.

Join our Trans Hiking Club on Saturday, July 25 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for a hike at North Country Trail! Meet at the corner of Sheffield Road x Noonan Road. Be sure to bring plenty of water and dress for the weather. Trans Hiking Club is a social hiking group for transgender, non-binary, and gender-expansive individuals ages 18 and up to experience nature, connect with others, and support their physical health one step at a time. This group meets on the fourth Saturday of each month from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. as weather permits. Locations vary.

Trans+ Pool Party

Join us for a trans+ pool party at the Y! This annual event creates a safe and judgement-free space for trans+ people ages 18 and up to enjoy some summer fun in whatever attire makes you feel like YOU! Trans+ participants may bring one cisgender guest (partner, friend, or support person). We'll see you on Saturday, July 25 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the YMCA of Greater Kalamazoo. ID will be required to verify age. This event is a collaboration with LBGT Student Services, OutFront Kalamazoo, and YMCA of Greater Kalamazoo.

Haunters Against Hate: The Event

Haunters Against Hate: The Event is coming to Kalamazoo! On August 1-2, the LGBTQIA+, haunt and horror communities will come together at the Radisson Plaza Hotel with over 60 vendors, workshops, drag shows, special performances, and the annual Haunters Against Hate awards. Celebrity guests will include the cast from the cult horror film "Sleepaway Camp," the stars of the classic TV series "Land of the Lost" (along with a sleestak joining them), comedian Julie Brow and Russel Todd from "Friday the 13th Part II" and "Chopping Mall." There will also be a cosplay competition and a makeup competition. Best of all, the proceeds of this event will be split between OutFront Kalamazoo and the Grand Rapids Pride Center, supporting LGBTQIA+ programs and resources across Southwest Michigan!

Black Pride: Celebrating Queer Black Joy

Join us on Saturday, August 29 at Bates Alley for a celebration of queer Black joy. This is a milestone event for Kalamazoo, bringing together the community for an afternoon of celebration, culture, and connection.
