What can we learn about ourselves by looking more closely at where we came from?
Join us for a relaxed coffee chat with Doug Einfeld, Christian pastor and author of In the Shadow of the Most High: Uncovering My Jewish Ancestors' Perilous Journey Through History. Doug will share the story behind his discovery that his paternal ancestors were Jewish and the historical journey that followed from the ancient Near East through medieval Europe and through generations shaped by survival, persecution, faith, and resilience. Doug draws on both his pastoral experience and historical research to explore the connections between Jewish and Christian history and the stories that can remain hidden within families for generations.
Come have a cup of coffee, listen, ask questions, and consider what history can teach us, not just about where we've been, but about the values and choices we carry forward.
