This collaboration with the Kalamazoo Public Library is a series of standalone "one shot" tabletop RPG sessions for LGBTQIA+ "gaymers" and allies ages 11-18. All experience levels are welcome! We'll play games of all genres: superheroes, giant mechs, high fantasy, cozy adventures, and more! Tabletop Gayming: Youth Edition takes place on the fourth Saturday of each month from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Teen Studio at KPL Central Library. No preparation required; materials will be provided.

Bluestocking is honored to host an informational presentation by Hope for Neighbors, a faith-driven mutual aid and immigrant support network. We will hear about conditions at North Lake Detention Center in Baldwin, and how detention and deportation affect families in our communities. We'll explore ways to help through visits, bond support, family care, and informed action. Also presenting is West MI Resist, a mutual aid and political advocacy network.
Neighbor to Neighbor is all about one simple idea: neighbors helping neighbors. Join Out On The Lakeshore, local businesses, nonprofit partners, volunteers, and community members for a hands-on event focused on sharing practical skills, connecting people with trusted resources, and making everyday life feel a little easier. This is not your typical resource fair. You'll find opportunities to actually learn and do things alongside people who know how to help. That might mean learning basic bike maintenance while seeing a repair demonstrated, getting help with a simple sewing fix, picking up practical household or technology tips, asking questions, or connecting directly with local organizations and businesses. Some stations will teach. Some will demonstrate. Some may even help you fix or work through something right there. The goal is simple: come curious, leave a little more capable and a little more connected.

Join us for a relaxed coffee chat with Doug Einfeld, Christian pastor and author of In the Shadow of the Most High: Uncovering My Jewish Ancestors' Perilous Journey Through History. Doug will share the story behind his discovery that his paternal ancestors were Jewish and the historical journey that followed from the ancient Near East through medieval Europe and through generations shaped by survival, persecution, faith, and resilience. Doug draws on both his pastoral experience and historical research to explore the connections between Jewish and Christian history and the stories that can remain hidden within families for generations. Come have a cup of coffee, listen, ask questions, and consider what history can teach us, not just about where we've been, but about the values and choices we carry forward.
